I've found paying for guitar lessons to be mostly a waste of money if you have the hunger to learn yourself.

Stevie Ray Vaughan never had one lesson, and didn't even understand music theory. Not sure if he ever learned.

I took lessons for 2 years back in high school, and did learn a good amount. But i think I could have learned even more on my own in that amount of time. Also in this day and age, there is such a wealth of free information online. You can find thousands of free video lessons, as well as enough free reading to learn everything you need to know about guitar.

Anyway, those lessons seem pretty good, and for $5 a lesson it would probably be worth it for those that don't want to learn themselves or find the same thing for free somewhere else.

Before my mandolin teacher was killed by a drunk driver he told me the only thing a music teacher was good for was to make you feel guilty for not practicing.

I still miss that knucklehead....
